What is Kysse Lip Filler?

Restylane Kysse is a lip filler designed for lip augmentation and correction of upper perioral wrinkles. It is a clear injectable gel composed of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body.

Restylane Kysse contains 0.3% lidocaine to reduce pain during injection and has been modified to last longer in the body than naturally occurring HA. The filler is made with XpresHAn Technology™, which allows it to move with each smile and expression, providing more natural-looking results.

Kysse Lip Filler can enhance lip texture and color while improving lip fullness and definition. Restylane Kysse is suitable for patients over the age of 21 and is injected with an ultrafine needle into the lips to add fullness or into the skin above the lips to help smooth wrinkles around the upper lip (perioral lines).

How Much Does Kysse Lip Filler Cost?

Most patients can expect to pay approximately $750-800 per syringe of Kysse lip filler, with the total cost dependent on how much product is needed to achieve the desired outcome. Multi-syringe treatments, package deals, and payment plans can also impact the total price paid by an individual patient.

Kysse Lip Filler Procedure

The Kysse procedure is performed in-office by a dermatologist, plastic surgeon or other provider trained in filler injections. A topical numbing cream is applied to the lips and surrounding area about 30 minutes prior to the injections.

The provider marks the injection sites and carefully injects small amounts of Kysse into the lips and perioral lines using an ultrafine needle. Multiple injection points are used to evenly distribute the filler and achieve the desired results.

After the injections, the provider may massage the lips to help evenly distribute the filler. The procedure takes about 30-60 minutes from start to finish. Initial results are visible immediately, with final results seen in about 2 weeks as swelling subsides. Results last approximately 1 year before touch up injections are needed to maintain the effect.

Is Kysse treatment painful?

Kysse lip filler injections are generally not very painful for most patients. Many patients report the injections are relatively comfortable and tolerable, especially compared to some other lip fillers

The thinner gel consistency of Kysse contributes to its ease of injection. The use of numbing cream before the procedure and lidocaine mixed in the Kysse gel itself helps reduce discomfort during the injections

There is usually some mild dull pain, pinching sensation and pressure felt during the injections due to the sensitive nature of the lips

But this dissipates quickly once the injection is complete. Any pain, tenderness, swelling, or bruising after the injections usually resolves within a few days

An ice pack can be used after the procedure to help minimize swelling and discomfort. Pain tolerance varies individually. But overall, most patients do not find the Kysse lip filler injections to be very painful compared to other injectable treatments. The use of numbing agents and Kysse’s smooth consistency make the procedure relatively quick and comfortable.
