A weekly injection with a medical team behind it
Weight-loss injections work best when someone is keeping an eye on how you respond. At Montville MedSpa & Pain Center, a plan starts with a medical consultation, not a checkout page, and carries on with regular check-ins. For Morristown that team is a short highway drive away: north on I-287 for about ten miles, then Route 202 into Towaco, roughly 18 minutes without traffic to 624 Main Road.
The two medications we offer
- Semaglutide — a GLP-1 receptor agonist that helps regulate appetite and blood sugar, so you feel satisfied sooner and stay full for longer.
- Tirzepatide — acts on two receptors, GLP-1 and GIP, combining their effects on appetite and glucose control.
Which one suits you, if either, is decided at your consultation and not before.
How the first months usually unfold
- Consultation. Our medical professionals go through your health, your weight-loss goals and your medical history.
- Your plan. It sets out the medication and its dosage, along with dietary recommendations and exercise guidance.
- A low start. These medicines are usually begun at a low dose and stepped up gradually, which gives your body time to adjust and keeps side effects manageable.
- Check-ins. Regular visits let us adjust the plan, watch for side effects and answer questions as they come up.
Early progress is often modest, because the starting dose is deliberately low. That is expected, and it is not a sign the treatment is failing.
Habits that help the medication along
- Pick one day a week for your injection and set a reminder for it.
- Build meals around protein to help protect muscle while the weight comes off.
- Sip water through the day, since a smaller appetite often means drinking less as well.
- Add some strength or resistance exercise to your week.
- Keep every check-in, because that is where the plan gets tuned to you.
Morristown patients ask
Who should not use these injections? Anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2, and anyone who is pregnant. Your provider will also ask about pancreatitis, gallbladder or kidney problems and the medicines you already take.
Do I still need to change how I eat? Yes. The medication makes eating less easier to sustain, but it does not replace a healthier routine, which is why your plan includes food and exercise guidance.
What happens if I stop? Many people regain weight after stopping, so any change is planned with your provider rather than made on your own, and the habits you build in the meantime matter.
Can I come outside normal office hours? Tuesday evenings until 7 and Saturday mornings from 9 to 1 suit a lot of people who work in Morristown.

Testimonials
What Our Patients Say About Us
★★★★★
Kristen is truly exceptional — she goes above and beyond in every way. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever find anyone who matches her level of excellence. I’ve had several Vivace microneedling treatments with her, and she was incredibly thorough and meticulous every time. Her follow-up care is just as impressive. I’m a very cautious person when it comes to these treatments and I ask a lot of questions, and she always responds with patience, professionalism, and genuine care. It’s clear she takes pride in her work. I highly, highly recommend her!
