Hyperdilute Radiesse® is a way of using a trusted injectable to improve the skin itself — firmer, smoother and less crepey — rather than to add volume. At Montville MedSpa & Pain Center, your treatment is planned and overseen by our physician-led team.

What Is Hyperdilute Radiesse?

Radiesse® is made of tiny calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a smooth gel. Used full-strength, it is a dermal filler. Hyperdilute Radiesse is the same product mixed with more saline, so it can be spread in a fine, even layer under the skin.

Once it is in place, the microspheres act as a scaffold that stimulates your body to make new collagen and elastin. Over time the gel is absorbed and what remains is your own new collagen — which is why the result looks like better skin, not like something added.

In April 2026 the FDA approved Radiesse diluted 1:2 with saline for correcting wrinkles of the décolleté (the chest) in adults 22 and older.

How Is It Different From a Filler?

Dermal filler Hyperdilute Radiesse
What it does Adds volume where it is placed Improves skin quality across an area
When you see it Straight away Gradually, as collagen builds
Best for Lips, cheeks, folds, contours Thinning, crepey or loose-looking skin

Many patients combine the two, or pair hyperdilute Radiesse with Sculptra®, another collagen stimulator. Your provider will recommend what suits your skin and your goals.

Is Hyperdilute Radiesse Right for You?

It may suit you if you:

  • Have skin that looks thinner, crepey or less firm than it used to
  • Have fine wrinkles on the chest (décolleté)
  • Prefer a gradual, natural-looking improvement over an instant change
  • Want to treat the quality of the skin, not add volume

The only way to know is a consultation, where we look at your skin, talk about your goals and explain your options.

What to Expect

Consultation. We review your health history and the areas that bother you, and agree on a plan.

Treatment. The diluted product is placed under the skin with a fine needle or cannula and gently massaged to spread it evenly.

Afterwards. Most people go straight back to their day. Some redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising where it was placed is common and temporary. Your provider will give you aftercare instructions.

Results. Improvement builds over the weeks that follow as your own collagen forms. The manufacturer reports results that can last up to two years.

Frequently asked questions

What is hyperdilute Radiesse?

Radiesse® is an injectable made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres in a smooth gel. Hyperdilute means it is mixed with more saline than when it is used as a filler, so instead of adding volume in one spot it is spread thinly under the skin, where it encourages your body to produce new collagen and elastin.

Is hyperdilute Radiesse FDA-approved?

Yes, for the chest. In April 2026 the FDA approved Radiesse diluted 1:2 with saline for correcting wrinkles of the décolleté (the chest) in adults 22 and older. Your provider will talk you through which areas it suits at your consultation.

How is it different from a dermal filler?

A filler adds volume exactly where it is placed and you see it straight away. Hyperdilute Radiesse is a biostimulator: it improves the quality of the skin over a wider area — firmness, texture, crepiness — and the change builds gradually as your own collagen grows.

When will I see results, and how long do they last?

Results develop gradually over the weeks after treatment as new collagen forms. The manufacturer reports results that can last up to two years; how long yours last depends on your skin and your treatment plan.

Is there downtime?

Most people return to their day straight away. As with any injectable, you may have some temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising where it was placed.
