• Forehead lines come from the frontalis, the muscle that raises your brows. Dosing there is strategic, so the brows can still lift.
• The “11s” between the brows are made by the corrugator and procerus muscles when you frown. Dysport has been specifically studied and approved for moderate-to-severe lines in this zone, and it diffuses evenly across it.
• Crow’s feet belong to the orbicularis oculi, the ring of muscle around each eye that tightens when you squint or smile.
• Neck bands, known as platysmal bands, along with bunny lines on the nose, a dimpled chin and lip lines, can also be treated where suitable.

More than two decades in use

Botox has been used as a cosmetic treatment since it first received FDA approval in 2002, and it was originally developed to treat eyelid spasms and excessive sweating. Neurotoxins have medical uses too, among them relief from the symptoms of an overactive bladder, easing muscle-related pain such as TMJ disorder and neck tension, reducing chronic migraines when placed at specific points, and treating excessive underarm sweating.

What is the difference between Botox and Dysport? Both block the same nerve signal and belong to the same family, but their formulations differ, and so does how they spread, which can affect how quickly results appear and which areas each is used for. Your provider recommends one after watching your face move.

How long is the drive? Rockaway Valley Road turns into Taylortown Road as it enters Montville and ends at Main Road; turn left and our office is about two and a half miles along at number 624. From the middle of the township, allow about 15 minutes without traffic.

What happens afterwards? There is no downtime. Leave the treated area unmassaged for 24 hours, then expect softening after three to five days and the full effect between day 10 and day 14.
