A sensible first booking
If you have never had a MedSpa treatment, the HydraFacial is an easy way in. It suits every skin type, from sensitive to oily and combination, leaves no irritation to wait out, and its glow is visible as you walk out. At Montville MedSpa & Pain Center it is also a chance for one of our licensed medical estheticians to get to know your skin before suggesting anything stronger.
What happens in the chair
- Cleansing. A machine-assisted cleanse lifts away dirt, oil and pollutants and readies the skin for what follows.
- Exfoliation. Gentle mechanical and chemical exfoliation clears dull, dead surface cells.
- Extraction. Vacuum tips draw out the debris and oil trapped in pores, which also helps skin that is prone to blemishes.
- Infusion. Serums matched to your skin are infused to hydrate, soothe and brighten.
- Customization. Every step is adjusted to the concern at hand, whether that is fine lines, breakouts or dullness, and LED light can be added to calm redness and encourage collagen.
Where a plan can go next
A HydraFacial works at the surface. When a concern sits deeper, the same team can move on to other tools, each with a job of its own:
- Brown spots, freckles and redness — Sciton’s BroadBand Light (BBL), typically with little or no downtime.
- Texture, fine lines and scarring — microneedling, or Vivace RF microneedling, which adds radiofrequency heat.
- A peel — chemical peels, including the VI Peel, or the pumpkin peel facial, which uses pumpkin enzymes to resurface the skin.
- Lost volume or expression lines — dermal fillers and Botox or Dysport, from the injectors in the same office.
Who looks after your skin
Kristen Marucci trained at the Artistic Academy in Morris Plains and has spent more than 20 years as a skincare specialist; VI Peels and waxing are among her treatments. Shannon Glinsky, whose background includes medical assisting and plastic surgery offices, performs corrective facials and chemical peels and puts together home routines from medical-grade skin care lines. The practice was founded by Dr. Donna D’Alessio, MD, who oversees its laser treatments.
Coming from Roseland
Roseland is home to the offices of companies such as ADP, and if you work there rather than live there, Tuesday appointments run as late as 7 pm. The office is about 11 miles away, around 20 minutes without traffic, by I-280 west, the Edwards Road and New Road exit, New Road and Bloomfield Avenue to Changebridge Road, then north to Main Road and right for the last mile to number 624.
Roseland patients ask
How often should I come back? Regular sessions keep the benefits going through continued exfoliation and renewal, and your esthetician will suggest a rhythm once your skin’s needs are clear.
Can I pair it with injectables? Yes. Hydrating, resurfacing treatments give filler an even surface to sit beneath, so the two work well together.
What about Saturdays? We are open from 9 am to 1 pm.

What Our Patients Say About Us
★★★★★
I have been to see Dr. D'Alessio over the past 5 years. I especially drive for over an hour, she and her whole office are simply the BEST! She has done my leg veins, Botox and now I see her for my GLP weight loss treatments, she is truly AMAZING and CARING! She will work with your insurance and help you find the best course of treatment to bring the cost down, if possible. She is always conservative, attentive, kind and has so much patience when listening to your exact needs. I would never go anywhere else. I trust her and her staff fully!
