Dr. Donna D’Alessio, MD, the practice’s founder, is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, the specialty of muscles, nerves and movement, and leads its non-surgical pain care. She administers only FDA-approved doses of Botox. Cosmetic injections are also given by nurse practitioners Amy Natalicchio and Tanya Santoro, working to the standard she sets.

Is a medical treatment booked like a cosmetic one? It starts with a consultation about the problem itself: your headache pattern, your jaw, or where and how much you sweat. What is injected, and where, follows from that conversation.

What should I avoid after underarm treatment? Keep deodorant, antiperspirant and any other product off the area for 12 hours, and move your workout to the next day so swelling and redness are not made worse.

What side effects can TMJ treatment have? Temporary soreness, mild bruising or swelling at the injection sites, and some jaw fatigue for a while. Rarely, slight asymmetry or a change in how your bite feels.

And on the cosmetic side? A little redness or a small bruise that clears within hours to a few days, with no downtime to plan around. Lines begin to soften after three to five days.
