Is semaglutide the same thing as Ozempic or Wegovy? Semaglutide is the active ingredient in both; Ozempic is approved for type 2 diabetes and Wegovy for chronic weight management. Tirzepatide is the active ingredient in Mounjaro and Zepbound.

What will the side effects feel like? Mostly digestive and mostly mild to moderate, such as nausea, diarrhea, constipation or vomiting, and usually at their worst while the dose is being raised. Our guide to semaglutide side effects explains how to ease them.

Is there anyone these medicines are not for? Yes. A personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2 rules them out, and so does pregnancy or planning one. Your provider will also ask about pancreatitis, gallbladder or kidney problems and the other medicines you take.

What are your hours? Monday to Friday, with Tuesdays running until 7 pm and Fridays ending at 4, plus Saturday mornings from 9 to 1.
