North HAIL-don, its own borough
North Haledon is not part of Haledon, its neighbor to the south, which has a page of its own. It was formed as a borough on March 20, 1901, from part of the old Manchester Township, covers about three and a half square miles of Passaic County and had 8,927 residents at the 2020 census. Its other borders are with Hawthorne, Prospect Park and Wayne, and with Franklin Lakes and Wyckoff over the line in Bergen County.
Leaving on local roads
No Interstate, U.S. or state highway runs through North Haledon, so the first part of the trip is on borough and county streets. Head south on Belmont Avenue through Haledon to West Broadway, then follow Union Avenue, which becomes Union Boulevard in Totowa, to Route 46. A short run west brings you to Route 23 north; leave it at Mountainview Boulevard, which turns into Route 202 and carries you through Lincoln Park to Main Road in Towaco. Montville MedSpa & Pain Center is at number 624, about 13 miles from the middle of the borough and roughly 24 minutes without traffic.
Something for each person in the house
One practice can look after a whole household, which means one drive and one set of people who know you.
- For your face: Botox and Dysport, dermal fillers, SKINVIVE, the HydraFacial, microneedling and Sciton’s BroadBand Light.
- For a partner whose energy or drive has dipped: hormone replacement therapy for men and women, testosterone for men with lab-confirmed low levels and estrogen and progesterone for women, and weight-loss injections with regular check-ins.
- For a teenager fighting breakouts: the teen facial, built around extractions and a home routine, or the acne facial with blue light.
- For a parent with a sore back or knee: non-surgical care for back, knee and neck pain, and vein treatments for aching legs and spider veins.
- For anyone who needs an hour off: massage therapy, from Swedish to deep tissue.
The people behind it
Everything answers to the founder, Dr. Donna D’Alessio, MD. She is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, served as Chief Resident during her residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, and leads both the pain care and the injector team. Nurse practitioners Amy Natalicchio and Tanya Santoro inject alongside her, with Tanya focused on hormone therapy. Facials, lasers and body treatments are in the hands of licensed medical estheticians Kristen Marucci and Shannon Glinsky; Maryann Constantino, LMT is the massage therapist; and vein patients are evaluated with Ana Marie Heredia-Levi, RVS, RVT, the practice’s vascular technician.
North Haledon residents ask
Can my partner and I both be seen about hormones? Yes. Each of you has your own lab work and your own plan.

What are the hours? Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 to 5, Tuesday 10 to 7, Friday 9 to 4 and Saturday 9 to 1; closed on Sunday.
Is there a way to spread the cost? Monthly payments are available through Cherry, and current promotions are on the special offers page.

Shannon from the MedSpa is absolutely amazing! She took the time to really understand my skin and helped me figure out exactly what it needs. She recommended products that feel incredible on my skin and made the whole experience feel personalized. The room was so relaxing, and everything about the appointment was perfect. I’m someone who usually pushes off getting facials, but after finally getting one done, it was 100% worth it. Overall a 10/10 experience!
