A short drive south of Riverdale

Riverdale sits in the far northeastern corner of Morris County, with the Pequannock and Pompton rivers along its edge and Pequannock Township on its southern border. Keep going south past Pompton Plains and you reach Towaco, home to Montville MedSpa & Pain Center. The practice was founded by Dr. Donna D’Alessio, MD, who is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and one team under her looks after three things that are usually spread across three different offices: how you look, how you feel and how you move.

Two ways to get here

• On local roads, about 11 minutes without traffic. Pick up Route 23 southbound just long enough to take the exit for Pompton Plains and Lincoln Park, follow the Boulevard (County Route 511 Alternate) south, and turn right onto Jacksonville Road, which runs until it meets Main Road in Towaco. Roughly seven miles in all.
• On the interstate, about 13 minutes without traffic. I-287 has two exits inside Riverdale. Head south to Exit 47 for Route 202, turn right onto Main Road, and our office is about a mile and a half along at number 624.

Questions we hear from Riverdale

Can I see the doctor herself? Yes. Dr. D’Alessio owns the practice and sees patients in the Towaco office, and you can book a consultation with her before deciding on anything.

What are your hours? We open at 9 on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and close at 5; Tuesday runs from 10 until 7, Friday from 9 until 4, and Saturday from 9 until 1.

Is hormone therapy only for women? No. Men with low testosterone and women in perimenopause or menopause are both treated, and every plan starts with lab work.
