Where most skin routines stop

A great deal of skin care ends at the jawline. The neck and the chest change too, though: skin there loosens, turns thin and crepey, gathers fine wrinkles across the breastbone, and in some people shows vertical cords at the front of the neck. At Montville MedSpa & Pain Center those changes are treated with tools drawn from across the menu, and which one fits depends on what your skin is doing.

A tool for each change

• Looseness along the jaw and neck. Venus Legacy pairs multi-polar radiofrequency with pulsed electromagnetic fields to warm the tissue and encourage collagen and elastin. The face and neck, jawline included, are among its usual areas. Sessions last 30 to 60 minutes with no downtime, a series of six to eight a week apart gives the best result, and many patients liken the warmth to a hot stone massage.
• Texture and fine lines. Vivace RF microneedling carries radiofrequency energy through 36 gold-plated needles to tighten and renew the skin. It is offered for the face, the neck and the chest, or all three as a package, and platelet-rich plasma from your own blood can be added.
• Fine wrinkles on the chest. Hyperdilute Radiesse is spread thinly beneath the skin, where it prompts new collagen and elastin. In April 2026 the FDA approved it, diluted one part to two with saline, for wrinkles of the décolleté in adults 22 and older. The change builds gradually, and the manufacturer reports results that can last up to two years.
• Bands in the neck. These platysmal bands are among the extra areas Botox or Dysport can treat for suitable candidates.
• Early sagging. A PDO thread lift places dissolvable threads that lift loosened skin on the cheeks, jowls and neck.

Who should wait

Venus Legacy is not given during pregnancy or breastfeeding, to anyone with a pacemaker or defibrillator, near metal implants, or where the skin is inflamed, infected or has lesions, and a history of cancer or an autoimmune disorder needs discussing first. Your history is gone through at the consultation for every treatment above.

Licensed medical estheticians Kristen Marucci and Shannon Glinsky carry out Vivace and Venus Legacy. Injectables are given by Dr. Donna D’Alessio, MD, who founded the practice, and her nurse practitioners. Shannon also builds home routines from medical-grade lines such as ZO Skin Health, SkinCeuticals and SkinMedica, so the skin below your jawline is looked after between visits as well.

Can the face be treated at the same visit? Yes. Vivace has a face, neck and chest package, and Venus Legacy treats the face and neck together.

How much downtime should I plan? None after Venus Legacy. After Vivace the skin may stay slightly red for about a day, and after an injection some redness, swelling or bruising is possible for a short while.

When will I notice a difference? Collagen takes time, so improvements usually build over the weeks that follow, and with Venus Legacy they continue after the final session.
